On August 19 a selection of rare pens will be auctioned by Bonhams in New York, headlined by some exquisite writing instruments from Dunhill-Namiki, especially the Dunhill-Namiki Lake Biwa maki-e fountain pen. Crafted using the finest Japanese lacquer techniques, the pen was created in 1930 through collaboration between Dunhill and Namiki.

On July 2nd in the Shiga Prefecture of Japan, Manabu Kurita caught a contender for the world record largemouth bass. He was fishing at Lake Biwa, a 259 square mile fishing paradise. The water is chrystal clear and gets up to 300 feet, making it a perfect breeding ground for lunker bass.
