Shortly after CHS bought Triad, 9 hospitals were sold to Capella, incl. Willamette Valley. *Is poor safety the real reason WVMC was unloaded? A pt. died undetected 2/1/07 while his cardiac monitoring was turned off w/o cause. This was d/t safety issues reported inside & to JCAHO involving 2 day shift Tele Techs. JCAHO Incident #2704ZAA-4828HSO.*

Community leader Bob Wichlinski has begun an investigation on community boards and privately with elected officials to find the details behind the sale of Porter Hospital. It would appear on the surface that Triad Hospitals, the purchaser, will be putting $80-100 million into an escrow account. Who controls that account?
